Beginners’ Course

Please note: The 2026 course is fully booked, however if you are interested in the course for 2027 do please let us know and we can add you to the waiting list.

The course is a mixture of lectures and practical activities, and covers the following areas:

  • Natural History

  • Forage and Hive Products

  • Swarming

  • Pests and Diseases

  • Hive Design and Woodworking

  • Siting an Apiary and record keeping

  • Health and Safety
